Brown Rice Varieties

Arborio – Medium grain, Italian, used for risotto – SOLD OUT until next harvest

Estrella – Long grain, Colombian, tender, fragrant; try with black beans, arroz con coco, Spanish rice or by itself! – SOLD OUT until the next harvest

Presidio-  Long grain, Texan, firm texture; Fantastic with gumbo or any dish with a sauce

Koshihikari- Premium Sushi rice, medium grain, chewy.  Also a favorite for buddha bowls and with stir fries – SOLD OUT until next harvest

Neches –  Long grain, sweet under tones, waxy variety;  excellent for sticky rice & sushi, good whole grain breakfast option

Sahbhagi- East Indian, medium grain, earthy undertones.  Great with curries & dahl.

Sierra – Long Grain, tender, aromatic basmati-like variety; wonderful for biryani

Brown Rice Grits-  Heavenly with coconut oil, delicious sweet or savory; can also be used for polenta

Broken Rice-  Traditionally used as a delicacy in Southeast Asian cooking, tender & succuclent.  Easily absorbs flavor.  Also great as a hot morning cereal
